Caudalie Beauty Elixir Beauty Cult or Not ?

So sometime last year this product took the blogging community by storm claiming to be a cult product, refreshing your makeup, having celebrities rave about this product (Victoria Beckham) I naturally had to have.

Caudalie claims "Inspired by the "elixir of youth" used by Queen Isabelle of Hungary, Caudalie Beauty Elixir smoothes features, tightens pores, and gives the complexion a burst of radiance. An excellent base for make-up, this water awakens the skin in the morning and livens it up before a night out."

When I started using this my expectation were really high and it wasn't bad at first, if I had a spot peeping its way on my skin, I'd spray this and it would calm it down. I thought this was amazing until I started breaking out and had dry patches all over my face, at first I was confused because I didn't know what caused it and at that point my skincare wasn't helping me so I was really stressed out. When I started reading the ingredients I found out there was alcohol in there so I stopped using it as I know alcohol dries out your skin especially if you have dry skin like me and it just irritates it.

Lo and behold my skin started clearing up and the dry patches were gone. This maybe be a beauty cult for others but for me it was a disappointment and definitely not worth my money sadly will not be purchasing this in the future.
