Darker lips for the colder months

Now that autumn is pretty much here, it's that time of the year where I love darker shades wheather it's on my lips or nails, so I thought I would share what lipsticks I love during these colder months.
Revlon Va Va Violet- is a dark purple colour, its smooth and creamy which gives it the ability to glide on the lips. It does take a few swipes for the colour to be as it is in the bullet and it can be uneven when applying but nothing a few swipes can't get rid of.
Rimmel Kate Moss- 04 this is a very pigmented aubergine colour, with a couple of swipes it reaches to true intensity but don't worry if your not that confident with darker shades it can blotted on and used as a stain.
Seventeen New black- As the name suggest its a new breed of black its dark but not quite there, it is definitely a powerful colour as with all of these lipsticks, minimal makeup will complete the look. At about the 4 hour mark the intensity wears off and becomes more of a burgundy colour which is also really nice.
Revlon Black cherry- This was a blogger purchase I saw it on many blogs and thought it was perfect for autumn. If swiped at first instance its a winey colour but if you want more colour payoff then one more swipe is enough. It is a beautiful dark red its perfect for winter months if you shy away from dark colour but you want to change that I think is a great one to start with.
Mac Hang up - This is one of my favourites out the lot as I wear it a great deal during winter months, last year during uni if I wanted a dark red lip I would usually go for this. Its a deep red berry colour the finish is a creamesheen so its not drying.
Mac Dark side -  This is a cool tone burgundy with a hint of berry in it. Its an amplified finish, so its smooth enough to glide on with no problems I normally seem to get more wear out of this too.

  1. Those are gorgeous shades! I like darker reds more than purples, but they're all stunning!
